Anne and the Anvaya Carnaval (1st Anniv)

Location: Anvaya Cove, Morong, Bataan

Anvaya Cove turns one year old! Yay! The invitation came last week and I've been really excited about this since then. Come on, it's been a while since we went to Anvaya. I really missed that place. Such a perfect getaway place since it's not that far from our place. It's a two-hour drive from home? or two-and-a-half? Another great thing about the place is that it's not "abused" since it's not really a public resort or whatevs. So, ayos! :)

Anyway, Anvaya's first birthday theme was called "Anvaya Carnaval" so there were jugglers everywhere, magicians, stilts walkers, etc. Escola de Samba de Manila were there too! So there were the samba drummers which went around the pool area and played tunes for the visitors. Then, Escola (the samba dancers?) performed as well. Really, really good! There's Guarana too, the band, which performed Samba and Bossa songs. Btw, they performed Conga, 1,2,3 and some songs of Gloria Estefan which really made me sing my heart out. Come on, that's Gloria Estefan! Well, I kinda know her songs. Lol. (Thanks to Eileen of Escola de Samba de Manila! God bless you and the entire group!) :)

Another great thing about this event: free food, free drinks, free towels, free spa, free everything. How I wish it's always "free" when we visit the place! Lol!

Anvaya will always be lolololove. :)

Some photos from my Anvaya-Cove-Day:

Because of Anne Curtis and Tim Yap's fail moments, the crowd "BOOed" them. BOO talaga. :))

Anne and Two Great Things

For whatever it's worth (because this entry might be the most mababaw entry ever), I'm going to share this...and please do congratulate me after reading since I'm somehow proud of myself today. :)

TWO GREAT THINGS happened today. Well, "great" since it's not everyday that I get to have the chance of doing such things. So whether this entry sound super mababaw or not, forgive me. It's something "new" to me.

FIRST. I cooked rice today. Well, not the traditional way of cooking rice wherein you have to use the stove for cooking and all. One step at a time muna, okay? We'll get to the "cooking-rice-using-the-stove" part soon. So with the help of the rice cooker, I survived. :)

Anyway, It's not actually my first time to cook rice. It's just that every time I get to cook it, something wrong happens. At home, we use to have a rice-and-water-ratio but since I'm a total goldfish (called myself a goldfish since I'm super makakalimutin and according to studies, the memory of a goldfish lasts for three-seconds only. my friends call me that way too.), I don't remember it at all. I usually ask my dad for the ratio but my phone was dead a while ago so no time to ask. So on my own, I tried my luck in cooking rice again just a while ago and oh yes, for the first time, water is just enough baby. Hindi sobra, hindi kulang. Goodness, sakto lang! I'm proud! You should've tasted my first cooked rice. :))

SECOND. Weeks ago, I plurked something about riding a jeep on my own. I survived riding the LRT alone so I guess, it's time to try riding a jeep alone.

After my last class kanina, I felt the urge of going to the mall (which is btw a 5-minute-ride away from school) since I need to buy toiletries and some school-related-needs. Since my friends already went home, I'm on my own again...and yes, yes, yes! I was able to buy all the stuff that I need and I was able to go home on my own too.

...there's a funny thing though.
Nung sumakay ako ng jeep, pinu-puno pa lang. 5 pa lang kami inside so I decided to pay the fare na kaso I have no idea kung magkano ang pamasahe. So, lumapit pa ako kay Manong Driver and asked him kung magkano ang fare. Nakakahiya kasi super first-timer ng dating ko. But anyway, Manong Driver answered naman so nakapagbayad na ako. After paying, bumalik pa ako sa dulo ng jeep kasi ayoko maging assistant ni Manong Driver sa pag-abot ng bayad/sukli. :))

LRT down. Jeepney down. Taxi naman! :D

So there. My two great things of the day. Even though it's just rice, I don't care. Even though the ride lasted for five minutes, I don't care. I'm still proud of myself. You should actually see how happy I am.

Congratulate me. Lol. :))
